TIRUPATI: A new MTech programme in Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning was launched at the Indian institute of information technology (IIIT) at Sri City near Satyavedu in Chittoor district on Friday.
Shalini Kapoor, IBM Fellow and CTO (AI applications) formally inaugurated the new MTech programme in AI& ML at IIIT-Sri City. She appreciated the efforts of the IIIT-Sri city in shaping graduates to meet the growing needs of the industry.
Dr G Kannabiran, Director at IIIT- Sri City the new programme will help bridge the urgent needs of talented scientists and engineers in the industry. The programme has strong emphasis on industrial projects under the mentorship of leading experts in the field of AI&ML. The 64-credit curriculum has core courses in AI&ML and a few application areas including computer vision, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, robotic automation etc.
