Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC’s German division is equipping some of its aerospace design engineers with artificial intelligence tools in an effort to speed up the yearslong process of designing and testing jet engines.
The initiative, spearheaded by the engine maker’s analytics unit, R² Data Labs, comes as companies look to data analytics, AI and advanced robotics to squeeze more value out of the mountains of data generated throughout the design and production process.
